ClickVoyant
Making Analytics Actionable for Small Businesses
ClickVoyant was building an AI-powered analytics platform to help small businesses understand what was happening across their digital experiences and what to do about it.
The opportunity was to move beyond reporting data and help people make better decisions with it.

Product Tension
From data to decisions
Many small and mid-sized businesses already had access to analytics, but didn't necessarily have the expertise to interpret the data or know what to do next.
ClickVoyant helped bridge that gap, but the experience still relied heavily on manual onboarding and consulting. Insights were often delivered through dense presentation decks that needed someone to explain what they meant.
The challenge was to bring more of that expertise into the product itself, making the platform easier to use while allowing the business to scale.
Key Experience Design
Turning analytics into guided action
I worked across product strategy, onboarding, platform concepts, and UX architecture.
A major focus was reducing the need for high-touch onboarding. We explored a more self-service experience that could guide customers through setup without requiring as much support from the ClickVoyant team.
We also shifted the experience away from generic analytics toward the goals customers were actually trying to achieve, such as improving conversion, engagement, or audience performance.
Connecting insight to action
The most important design problem was how recommendations were communicated.
Rather than simply presenting an insight, we structured recommendations around three questions:
What happened?
Why does it matter?
What should I do next?
This made AI-generated insights easier to understand and gave users a clearer path from analysis to action.
We also explored ways for insights to be shared across an organization, helping teams discuss recommendations and make decisions together.
Outcome
Helping an early-stage product gain traction
The engagement focused on product direction and concept development during an early stage of the company.
According to the founders, the work helped identify gaps in onboarding, clarify the product story, improve how insights were communicated, and support conversations with prospective customers and stakeholders.
More broadly, the project reinforced an idea that has become increasingly relevant with AI products: generating an insight is only part of the experience. The real value comes from helping someone understand it, trust it, and know what to do next.
